Two inductees entered the Hall of Fame posthumously: Jane Pratt and Jack Eggmann.
Jane Pratt.
Rick Randall told the crowd about how Jane ran all the tournaments at Dwight Davis with a loving but firm hand – and a sharp eye on the books. And the whole time, she kept up a championship-level doubles game of her own with her longtime partner, who was there to accept the award on Jane’s behalf.
Jack Eggmann.
Tom O’Neill spoke lovingly about Jack Eggmann’s role as the archivist of the Hall of Fame. Then he introduced Jack’s daughter, who shared her own memories of growing up around tennis and the history of the game, seen through her father’s eyes.
